Dr. Shattil's clinical interests are in general hematology, with a particular focus on disorders of blood platelets, bleeding disorders and the diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous thrombosis. His basic research interests are in the areas of cell adhesion and cell signaling in normal and abnormal blood and vascular cells.
